About Meera Kala Studio
Sixteen years of painting sarees and wall hangings, now teaching what my grandmother taught me. Every course is filmed in my studio, in plain language, with materials you can buy locally.
I learned on my grandmother's verandah in Mysuru, painting borders on cotton sarees she bought by the dozen. The studio is still small — one room, two tables, good north light — and every lesson is filmed there.
